We designed this project upon the increase in the capacity of Lagoon Blu Hotel located in Djibouti, Africa. In line with the needs, we planned an additional building that works together with the existing hotel and redesigned the facade in a holistic way. We designed the shops and hotel entrance on the ground floor, the hotel rooms on the other floors, and the fitness center and restaurant on the rooftop.

In the building shaped by the thin and long structure of the parcel, we created gallery spaces to allow daylight and fresh air into the floor halls of the hotel. On the street-facing façade of the building, the sunshades we used to control daylight became one of the main elements of the facade.
