We started the design of the project with the idea of
creating a living and educational space that meets the needs of students. The
building form was shaped together with the requirements program. There are 3
side masses connected to the main mass in the design. We designed the areas
required for academics and general use in the main building, and planned
studios and classrooms in the side masses.
With the galleries in the main mass, we created a
spacious interior by ensuring continuous visual communication between the
ground and first floors. We designed the studios with the idea that students
would adopt their working environment as a living space. In the project where
we aimed for each student to have an individual space, we created personal
study and storage areas for the students. In accordance with the education
method, each studio has a meeting room where students and academics can come together
as a group and evaluate the projects.
The rhythmic sunshades we used in the facade design of
the main mass added continuity to the design. On the facades that do not
require sun control, we wanted to provide visual interaction between the
interior and exterior with transparent surfaces.
